Since its beginning, the Heart of the Community Foundation has continued to raise money to support heart related projects in the Rome community.

Each year, the Heart of the Community Awards event has honored residents of Rome for their committed service and dedication to the community.

The Heart of the Community is currently taking applications
for their 2019 grant donations.
Please complete the application below and
return by January 7, 2019.

A portion of the donations to the Heart of the Community go to
placing AED defibrillator Units in local public agencies.  If your organization is in need of an AED,
please download and complete the request below.

Our History

On February 27, 1987, the first Heart of the Community event was held at the Coosa Country Club. It was sponsored by Redmond Park Hospital and WRGA/WQTU Radio, and the event raised funds for the American Heart Association.

Community Projects

In the 33 years since its beginning, the Heart of the Community Foundation has continued to raise money to support heart-related projects in the Rome community.

Awards & Events

Each year, the Heart of the Community Awards event honors residents of Rome for their committed service and dedication to the community. Over 230 local heroes have been honored thus far.
